REVERSE

(Velvet Cardigan, Free People Tank, Nordstrom B.P. Leggings, Aldo Booties, H&M Necklace)
Showing up to school with buttons down my back certainly made me a person of interest that day. By now, I'm pretty used to the side comments and weird looks I get from what I wear (as per this). Of course, my huge head of hair certainly doesn't help any attempts I make to be inconspicuous throughout the day. I take it in pride, though, because I'd rather be known as "the girl with the crazy hair who wears her sweaters backwards" than anything else.

FISHTAIL

(Forever 21 Top and Necklace, Delia's Shorts, Steve Madden Sandals, Vintage Earrings)
This post title would have been witty and snappy if I knew how to fishtail braid my hair without killing it. Long story short, my hair doesn't like to be molded into anything besides its natural huge poufiness. Liv makes up for my lack of hairstyle variety by doing things like this in three seconds. I simply throw on a shirt printed with enough fish to fill Lake Michigan. Explains why we work so well together, right?

BUBBLES

(Miss London Jacket, Jolt Jeans, H.I.P. Shirt, Missoni for Target Heels)
My Thursdays are somehow incredibly boring and uneventful unless there's a new Grey's Anatomy episode on. The fact that a TV show is the highlight of my day makes me question what I really do with my life most of the time. I usually come to the conclusion that I am a hermit who devotes her life to school and the internet (maybe not in that order). So, dinner with Liv last weekend left me pretty satisfied with my social life, especially when it meant that I could parade around town in heels.

COOL GIRL

(Miss London Jacket via Ragstock, UNIQLO Tee, Zara Jeans, Aldo Booties, H&M Necklace, Francesca's Collections Rings)
For some reason, leather and wedges make me feel about ten times cooler than I actually am. During this last month of school, ego boosters are a rarity I appreciate more than I should. I'm counting down the days to summer, because I'm not sure how much longer I'll last in boots and jeans. Where is the sun, Chicago? I need my sandals and shorts! These thirty-one tedious days could not go by fast enough.

COMING HOME

(Velvet Cardigan, ASOS Dress, Vintage Lord&Taylor Shirt, Aldo Booties, Francesca's Collections Rings)
I wore this dress to our school's homecoming way back in October. Somehow, I thought that I could get away with wearing it six whole months later, especially with layers. Now I know how an A-lister feels when they get bashed for wearing the same dress twice. My favorite reaction was from one of my friends who looked me up and down and promptly blurted out, "Are you really just wearing your homecoming dress with a shirt?!" Needless to say, I'm going to have to come up with a much more creative way to wear this dress if I want to go incognito anytime soon.

PINK SKIES

(Club Monaco Sweater, Jolt Jeans, Aldo Booties, Nordstrom B.P. Earrings, Urban Outfitters Rings)
I spent the weekend holed up in bed, during which I managed to watch an entire season of Skins and do absolutely no math homework whatsoever. While this will not sit well with my math teacher, I needed two days of pointless activity and made this my motto for as long as I could. Sometimes a lazy weekend is all you need to be productive again, though I'm afraid it may take a little more than Skins to get me to do my math homework voluntarily.

NAVY BLUES

(Frenchi Top and Skirt, Hue Tights, Bloch Flats, H&M Necklace)
I am so ready for this week to be over. We've both been swamped with tests and work, and I'm pretty sure our teachers have been conspiring to make this the hardest week yet. Luckily, I have some sort of outlet for all this stress. I honestly think I could never, ever get tired of blogging. It gives me ten minutes of peace a day. Needless to say, this weekend couldn't come soon enough.

PINSTRIPED

(Urban Outfitters Shirt and Rings, Zara Jeans, Aldo Booties)
Picking the pictures for this post was difficult because the lighting made me look like an American Apparel model, and I'm just not cool enough for that. I was cool enough to post one of them on my tumblr, which has amassed a grand total of one note. Maybe the minimalistic look just isn't me after all. Then again, my sassy gay friend thought I looked "stunning", which means I must be doing something right. Anyone have the contact info for American Apparel?

BROWN BRICK WALLS

(Aqua Shirt, Lily White Tank, Jolt Jeans, Aldo Booties)
This week was spent searching for a new skin for my phone and writing an abundance of haikus for my English class, both of which took way longer than I expected. I finally settled on this after what seemed like a thousand google searches, and my list of haikus is slowly growing. I'll leave you with this one, which explains my current state of mind perfectly:

the lolla lineup
is just too perfect for words
why, why can't i go?

BROWN LEATHER & VELVET

(Lily White Shirt, Akira Dress, Vintage Seychelles Sandals, Marc by Marc Jacobs Sunglasses, Nordstrom B.P. Bag)
Liv and I have dubbed these shoes "The Clonkers" after I scared her cat into a closet walking around in them. Nonetheless, I absolutely adore them and wear them whenever I can. I spent this weekend watching The Parent Trap with my Swiss friends who are here for the week. It's a tradition we just can't seem to give up. Hope you all had a great Easter!

LAVENDER

(Rodarte for Target Cardigan, Urban Oufitters Tee, Delia's Shorts, Hue Tights, Aldo Booties, Nordstrom Earrings, DIY Necklace)
I love breaking out light colors during Spring. They make everything seem so much brighter, which is especially nice when I have two tests on the same day. My friends and I have spent the day watching videos of people attempting the cinnamon challenge. Something about watching a person spew a cloud of cinnamon form their mouth improves my outlook the day. Even when it includes a math test.
