SPINNING ROUND AND ROUND

(American Eagle Denim Shirt, Urban Outfitter's Dress, Steve Madden Flats, Akira Headband)
If I were to describe my style, it would land somewhere between preppy, girly, edgy, menswear-y, vintage-y, and classic. So in other words, it's not really definable. Something that is definable however, is my undeniable love of twirly skirts. I love spinning around in them and pretending I am once again five years old.

SPRING!

(Zara Sweater, Miss Sixty Skirt, Forever 21 Necklace, Urban Outfitters and Guess Rings, Gifted Earrings from my Nana)
Look! No tights! Sunlight has found its way back to Chicago, which means we can all finally come out of hibernation and get on with our lives. Maybe we'll finally bring out some bright colors instead of these morose hues of black and blue. Spring break couldn't have come at a better time.
Sorry for no post yesterday; Liv and I are both sick. :(

PETER PAN

(Frenchi Top and Skirt, Hue Tights, Missoni for Target Heels, Childhood Charm Necklace and Earrings)
I love how whimsical Peter Pan collars and charm necklaces are. They take me back to my childhood when all I would eat was mac n' cheese and milk out of a sippy cup. I also read a whole lot more back then than I do now, which is something I should do now that spring break is next week. Any good suggestions?

PRINTS GO BAM

(Velvet Cardigan, H.I.P Tank, Eight Sixty Skirt, Hue Tights, Steve Madden Flats, Urban Outfitters Rings)
I love the print and color of this shirt mainly because they're loud and I'm, well, loud. I think that fashion and style should let someone's personality shine through. It's a great way of letting people know what they're in for. For example, when I wear this shirt, the librarian likes to send me on my merry way before I can get three (very audible and quite loud) words in.

BLACK ASYMMETRY

(Nordstrom Top, Urban Outfitters Skirt, Hue Tights, Aldo Booties, Delia's bracelets)
I fell in love with this skirt the moment I laid eyes on it. The asymmetric cut made it such a great statement piece, and I was immediately racking my closet in my mind trying to come up with ways to wear it. And this weird spring weather gave me the perfect opportunity to wear something a little summery. Let's hope the warm days last!
